You know me, I’m just OVER searching for RAID teams and only finding legendaries and epics. WE GET IT, these shiny champions are super good. But here’s the thing…

I don’t have any of these, thank you very much

Being free-to-play in RAID: Shadow Legends means that we don’t get a lot of great pulls. In fact, we get very few shards to even try, and not all Epics or Legendaries were created equal.

The good news is, while Legendary and Epic champions are really useful, they don’t make or break the game either. Don’t get me wrong, it makes a lot of things easier… but pretty much any RAID: Shadow Legends content can be done without them.

Note: All champions’ links lead to the Ayumilove.net database. All links to champions will open in a different window.

My arena is flooded with full-Legendary teams

I know THAT feeling.

Special F-U mention to Ultimate Deathknight, who is “Too Awesome to Die” and I’m too damn tired to try.

For the record, even the last team with only the Ultimake Deathknight kicked my butt.

But don’t worry, there are plenty other ways to get your @$$ handed to you in Arenas… I speak from experience!

No-legendary, farmable team: the basics

First off, we’ll be keeping that starter Champion in the team; no matter which one you picked, all 4 starter champions are pretty solid for Arenas.

Warmaiden

The Deadlands’ badass, Warmaiden‘s powerful debuff is what makes her so useful. For this arena team, you’ll want her at the highest SPD possible (with a hefty side of ACC and some Crit chance/Crit damage) so she can run in first and debuff everyone before your heavy hitters show up.

Berserker

Another champ from the Deadlands, which is part of why Deadlands is such a great farming spot, is Berserker. His Havoc ability’s extra-turn-on-kill, as well as his double-AOE attack that ignores 20% DEF come in extremely handy in Arenas.

Berserker’s skills makes him a perfect 4th-place champion in the turn order, so he can clean up anything your starter champion didn’t completely nuke.

Spirithost

She’s just about the best farmable rare out there, not gonna lie. You can find that one in Durham Forest, and she is insanely useful. Between her SPD Aura, her all-ally ATK buff, and her Debuff remover + Block Debuffs, Spirithost really packs a punch.

You’ll want her to go in right after Warmaiden.

Team breakdown

Your champions’ total SPD needs to follow this priority: Warmaiden – Spirithost – Starter champ – Berserker.

  • In Arenas, speed is key, so you should equip all 4 champions with boots that have SPD as their base stat. As you upgrade your champions’ gear, make sure to double check each champions’ total SPD stat so that the order in which your champions attack doesn’t change. Still, having said that, make sure that there is no big gap in SPD stats between champions, otherwise your team may end up with their turns separated by enemies’ turns, if they have higher SPD.
  • Crit rate gloves on your starter champion is the best idea. For any champion on your team, Crit rate is more important than crit damage.
  • Make sure to use Spirithost as your team leader for the extra speed boost.

Farmable Champion replacements

Currently working on figuring out if this team could work well (or even work better!) with these farmable replacements, and will update as soon as I have a definite answer.

  • Sorceress (DEF debuff A3) – Warmaiden replacement
  • Skellag (AOE ACC debuff) – Berserker replacement, maybe
  • Heiress (extra-turn on kill, debuff removal) – Berserker replacement
  • Saurus (AOE A1, AOE heal reduction double attack A2) – Berserker replacement
  • Diabolist (AOE A2 + 30% SPD buff, turn meter control A3) – Spirithost replacement, maybe

Non-farmable champion replacements

If you’re lucky enough to have any of the following, they may be solid upgrades to your team! The rares are non-farmable, while the Epic/Legendary champions in this list are login rewards (most of which are certain to happen except the 7-day login bonus champion that changes periodically)

  • Apothecary – Spirithost replacement
  • Hexweaver – Spirithost replacement
  • High Khatun (day 30 login bonus Epic champion) – Spirithost replacement, great synergy with Warmaiden)
  • Ronda (current day 7 legendary champion) – could replace your starter champion or Berserker.

Any replacements above would take the same place of the replaced champion in the SPD stat priority.
