Did you check out the Item Lab’s “Exchange Enhancement Materials” tab lately? The Augment Capsule section has more augments than it used to!

Take a look below for the latest update to Phantasy Star Online 2: NEW GENESIS’s Item Lab.

Formido Fusia

The C/Formido Fusia capsules are currently only available through Duel Quests (idk about you, but big MEH for my casual self) – and they can be used to merge 6 new augments. Hopefully they’ll start dropping from other places soon, too, otherwise we won’t be seeing a lot of these augments anytime soon. Those duels are no joke!

Better Triplbles!

We can finally see some use for our Gua, Deft, Spi and Sta augments. Not that they aren’t useful in themselves… but these new augments are certainly an upgrade.

Gua Triplble

By merging 10 C/Gua Might, 10 C/Gua Precision, 10 C/Gua Technique, and 3 C/Formido Fusia, we get Gua Triplble: +3.0% Potency, +3.0% Damage Resistance.

(For comparison purposes – original stats for one C/Gua Might: +2.0% Melee Weapon Potency, +2.0% Damage Resist)

Deft triplble

This time, by using 10 of each C/Deft Might, C/Deft Precision, C/Deft Technique + 3 C/Formido Fusia, we’ll end up with a Deft Triplble: + 2.5% Potency, +2.5% Potency Floor Increase.

(For comparison purposes – original stats for one C/Deft Might: +2.0% Melee Weapon Potency, +2.0% Potency Floor Increase)

Spi and Sta Triplbles

You know the drill, by now! 10 of each type of C/Spi + Formido Fusia = Spi Triplble (PP+5, 3.0% Potency), while 10 of each type of C/Sta +3C/Formido Fusia = Sta Triplble (HP+15, 3.0% Potency).

(For comparison purposes – original stats for one C/Spi Might: +2.0% Melee Weapon Potency, +5 PP – original stats for one C/Sta Might: +2.0% Melee Weapon Potency, +15 HP)

The Mighty Triplble 2

This one is a tall order. Considering that your C/Triplble II Augments only give you +3.0% Potency, which is something you can get from most of the previously mentioned augments, I find it a bit steep that the cost for it will be 5 C/Melra Duable IV, 5 C/Meltech Dualble IV, 5 C/Ratech Dualble IV, and 1 C/Formido Fusia. Still, it is worth mentioning, and just because I think I’m better off with the other augments doesn’t mean you won’t want some cool Triplble II for yourself!

For reference, a C/Triplble I gives +2.0% Potency. Out of all the new augments, I feel like the C/Triplble II offers the least, but it may still be appealing to anyone who wants to min-max their damage.

C/Gigas Maste

Now, I can easily see this new augment be really expensive on the market for a long time. When I saw its name, I got a little heart attack, thinking it might want my treasured Mastery augments. Don’t worry, though! You’ll need a ton of non-Mastery augments for this instead.

10 C/Formido Fusia, 10 C/Gigas Might IV, 10 C/Gigas Precision IV, 10 C/Gigas Technique IV and you get yourself one C/Gigas Maste.

C/Gigas Maste will give you HP+20 and +3.5% Potency, which is nothing to sneeze at. It’s a slight upgrade from the new C/Sta Triplble, which gives +15 HP and +3.0 Potency… but in endgame min-maxing environments, I imagine that these augments will be worth a ton of N-Meseta!

For reference, an OG C/Gigas Might IV will give you +20 HP and +3.0% Melee Weapon Potency, which is almost the same as the C/Gigas Maste stats. However, the C/Gigas Maste gives Potency accross the board, instead of focusing on Melee, Ranged or Technique Potency.

To Duel or Not to Duel?

Me, being a filthy casual, I haven’t managed to down even one of the Duels yet. I’m not too worried about it, since it’s all about the Duel-specific augments and min-maxing your gear specially for this occasion… and I like to keep my N-Meseta for phashion, like any other sane person.

What about you? Will you be dueling away in hopes to get Formido Fusias? Or maybe your eyes are set on that Duel-only Idle instead? It is pretty good-looking!
